The short answer

The GoHighLevel dialer is a softphone built into the browser and the LeadConnector mobile app, so users call contacts without a desk phone. It handles click-to-call from a contact, recent call history, mute, hold, warm and blind transfers, a keypad for phone menus and call scripts, and it logs each call on the contact record. For call blocks, workflows create Manual Call tasks that stack up in a queue under Conversations, which users work one after another. It is included on every plan; outbound calls cost $0.0166 a minute, rounded up to the full minute, and unanswered calls with no voicemail are generally not charged.

What the web dialer does

The dialer opens from the phone icon in the top bar and works with the sub-account's contacts, numbers and workflows. Each user needs calling permission, microphone access in the browser and an outbound number they are allowed to use, and users restricted to assigned data are generally limited to the number assigned to them. HighLevel's overview lists these controls:

  • Search contacts by name or number, click to dial, or type a number manually
  • Recent calls with direction, time, duration and status
  • Mute, hold, warm transfer, blind transfer and a keypad for navigating other companies' phone menus
  • Call scripts that stay on screen during the call
  • Voicemail playback, with transcripts where transcription is on
  • Microphone, speaker and extra ring device settings, added in August 2026

Power dialing with Manual Actions

HighLevel's power dialer is a task queue rather than a separate product. A workflow's Manual Call action creates a call task whenever its trigger fires, for example a new form lead or a stage change, and assigns it to a named user or by round robin. The tasks appear under Conversations in Manual Actions with the statuses Yet to Call, Completed and Skipped. Users can filter by workflow, task type, status and assignee, bulk-reassign tasks, and press Enter to start the next call. Filters are saved in the page URL, so a manager can share a ready-made queue by sending the link. HighLevel's articles describe a one-call-at-a-time queue and do not describe predictive or multi-line dialing.

Local presence and caller ID

On September 17, 2026 HighLevel rebuilt local presence dialing, which picks a caller ID close to the person being called. It matches in order: the lead's ZIP code, area code, overlay code, nearest distance, same region, then the account default, and it keeps showing the same number on repeat attempts to the same contact. It works in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, covers the web dialer and desk phones, and lets you reserve up to 50 numbers per sub-account so they are never auto-selected. Local presence only helps if the sub-account owns numbers in those areas, and each local number rents for $1.15 a month.

Users who want to call from a number they already own can verify it as caller ID. That feature arrived through Labs in April 2026, needs a one-time ID check with a government ID and selfie per sub-account, and bills at normal outbound rates. The number itself is confirmed with a short call and a 6-digit code, an agency admin has to enable the Labs feature for the sub-account, and inbound calls to that number keep working as before.

Logging outcomes

HighLevel records a technical call status on its own, such as Busy, Voicemail, No Answer or Completed. Business outcomes come from custom dispositions: up to 10 per sub-account, set by admins in the phone system settings, one per call and optional for the caller to pick. They work on web and mobile, on LC Phone and Twilio sub-accounts, and on supported WhatsApp calls. The Call Details workflow trigger reads the disposition, so choosing Requested Appointment can send a booking link and create a task, while Not Interested can end a nurture sequence. Keep the list short so reps actually use it.

Costs and calling rules

Outbound calls in the US and Canada cost $0.0166 a minute, rounded up to the full minute, and HighLevel's pricing guide says unanswered outbound calls that reach no voicemail are generally not charged. Recording adds $0.0025 a minute, and the recording announcement is controlled by each number's settings; HighLevel advises against disabling it unless your process meets consent and disclosure rules. Outbound calling by a team is still subject to US telemarketing rules such as Do Not Call lists and state calling-hour limits. This is general information, so a client running cold outbound campaigns should get legal advice before they start.

Questions

Does GoHighLevel have a power dialer?
Yes, in the form of Manual Actions. Workflows create Manual Call tasks, which queue up under Conversations for the assigned user, who works through them and presses Enter to move to the next one. HighLevel's help articles describe calling one contact at a time and do not describe predictive or parallel dialing.
Can I call from my own number without buying a HighLevel number?
Yes, through verified caller ID, released via Labs in April 2026. You verify the number with a short call and a 6-digit code, complete a one-time identity check with a government ID and selfie, and then place outbound calls showing that number. Call costs match regular outbound calling. Inbound calls keep going to your existing carrier.
How much do dialer calls cost in GoHighLevel?
Outbound calls to US and Canadian numbers cost $0.0166 a minute, and each call is rounded up to the next full minute. Unanswered calls that do not reach voicemail are generally not charged. Recording is optional at $0.0025 a minute, and the numbers you call from rent for $1.15 a month each.
Does the GoHighLevel dialer work on a phone?
Yes. Calls can be made from the HighLevel and LeadConnector mobile apps as well as the browser, and custom dispositions work on iOS and Android. The September 2026 local presence update covers the web dialer and desk phones first, with HighLevel saying mobile app support is coming.
