The short answer
GoHighLevel vs HubSpot comes down to how many businesses you run and who owns the account. HighLevel is $297 a month for unlimited client sub-accounts, with texting, calling and white-label built in and usage billed on top. HubSpot Marketing Hub is priced per business: Starter at $20 per seat a month with 1,000 marketing contacts, and Professional at $890 a month with 3 seats, 2,000 marketing contacts and a required $3,000 onboarding fee. For an agency serving 10 local businesses, HighLevel costs far less at list price. HubSpot is the stronger pick for one company that wants deep reporting and a large app ecosystem.

Price at list: plans, seats and contacts
HighLevel charges one flat fee per agency account and bills messages, minutes and email by use. HubSpot charges per business, then adds cost as you add seats and marketing contacts. The HubSpot Marketing Hub pricing page was showing a lower introductory Starter price for new customers when we checked; the table uses list prices.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| HighLevel Starter | $97 | $970/yr | 3 sub-accounts, unlimited users and contacts |
| HighLevel Unlimited | $297 | $2,970/yr | Unlimited sub-accounts, unlimited users and contacts |
| HighLevel Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970/yr | Unlimited sub-accounts, unlimited users and contacts |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub Starter | $20/seat | not listed separately | 1,000 marketing contacts |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional | $890 | $800/mo | 3 core seats, 2,000 marketing contacts, plus $3,000 onboarding |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise | annual only | $3,600/mo | 5 core seats, 10,000 marketing contacts, plus $7,000 onboarding |
Contacts are where HubSpot's bill grows. HubSpot only charges for marketing contacts, the ones you email or target with ads, and stores other contacts free up to 15 million. Past the included amount, Starter adds $50 a month per 1,000 marketing contacts (from 1,001 to 3,000), and Professional adds $250 a month per 5,000 (from 2,001 to 22,000). A client with 7,000 marketing contacts on Professional pays about $1,140 a month on monthly billing.
HighLevel does not charge per contact or per user, so a list of 50,000 costs nothing extra to store. What it charges for is activity. Sending an email to 100,000 people costs about $67.50 at $0.675 per 1,000, and every text and call minute is billed from the wallet. Our GoHighLevel pricing guide lists every plan and usage rate.
White-label and reselling
This is the biggest structural difference for an agency.
HighLevel lets you run the desktop app on your own domain with your own logo. HighLevel's plan comparison shows white-labeling on Unlimited and Agency Pro, and a branded mobile app is a separate $497 a month add-on. Agency Pro adds SaaS Mode: you build your own plans, sell them from your site, sub-accounts are created automatically when a client pays, and you can rebill phone, email and AI usage with a markup. Our SaaS Mode guide shows what agencies charge and what it costs to run.
HubSpot does not sell a white-label version. Its route for agencies is the Solutions Partner Program, which starts at $400 a month, pays a 20% revenue share for three years on deals a partner brings in, and lets partners waive client onboarding fees (up to $6,000 per client). The client's account stays a HubSpot account. That model suits agencies selling strategy and implementation, not software.
What HubSpot does better
- Reporting depth. Marketing Hub Professional includes custom reports that combine contact, company and deal data with marketing engagement, plus attribution reporting across five multi-touch models.
- Structured onboarding. The $3,000 fee buys 90 days of remote help from a HubSpot onboarding specialist. HighLevel's learning curve is a common complaint: Capterra reviewers rate its ease of use 3.7 out of 5.
- Ecosystem. HubSpot cites more than 299,000 customers and 2,000+ apps in its marketplace, and runs a large partner network.
- Inbound marketing tools. SEO recommendations and site audits, social publishing for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and X, and free HubSpot Academy courses and certifications.
- A clear path upmarket. Sales Hub, Service Hub and an Enterprise tier sit on the same CRM when a client outgrows marketing-only tools.
What HighLevel does better
- Price per client. One $297 plan covers every client sub-account. Adding the eleventh client adds usage, not a license.
- Unlimited contacts and users. No contact tiers and no seat fees on any plan.
- Texting and calling built in. Local numbers cost $1.15 a month, texts $0.00747 a segment plus carrier fees, and calls $0.01165 a minute inbound. Rates are in our LC Phone pricing guide.
- White-label and SaaS Mode. Sell the platform under your brand and set your own price, as covered above.
- AI phone agents. Voice AI answers and places calls, books appointments and updates the CRM, from $0.06 a minute before AI tokens and phone charges, or $97 a month per client for unlimited use under fair use. See our Voice AI pricing breakdown.
- Month to month. No long-term contract and no required setup fee.
Year one for a 10-client agency
Say you run marketing for 10 local businesses. On HighLevel you pay one plan and usage. On HubSpot each client business runs its own Marketing Hub account. The table adds up the software bill either way, at list price, before any partner discounts.
| Setup for 10 clients | Per month | Year one | What is left out |
|---|---|---|---|
| HighLevel Unlimited | $297 | $3,564 | Usage, about $1,261 a year in our example below |
| HighLevel Agency Pro | $497 | $5,964 | Usage, which you can rebill with markup |
| HubSpot Starter, 1 seat per client | $200 | $2,400 | No texting add-on on Starter; contacts past 1,000 per client |
| HubSpot Professional per client, monthly billing | $8,900 | $136,800 | Includes 10 x $3,000 onboarding; texting add-on adds $9,000 a year |
| HubSpot Professional per client, annual billing | $8,000 | $126,000 | Same, at the annual rate |
The usage example assumes each client sends 500 texts and 3,000 emails a month on one local number with a low-volume A2P campaign. That is about $10.51 per client a month, or $1,261 a year across 10 clients, which Unlimited can pass to clients at cost. AI minutes and call volume change the total, so run your own mix through the GoHighLevel cost calculator.
HubSpot Starter looks close to HighLevel on paper, but it is a different product: email marketing and forms for one business, no Marketing Hub texting, and calling only through Sales Hub or Service Hub. The fair comparison for a full client stack is Professional, and there the gap is large.
Who should pick which
Pick HighLevel if
- You serve many small local businesses such as dentists, trades, med spas or real estate teams.
- You want to bill clients for software under your own brand, or sell it as a subscription.
- Your clients live on texting, missed-call text-back, reviews and booked appointments.
- You want AI to answer client phones without adding another vendor.
Pick HubSpot if
- Your clients are mid-sized companies with in-house teams who will own the account.
- Attribution and custom reporting matter more than cost per client.
- Your agency sells inbound strategy, content and implementation, and you want partner revenue share.
- The client already runs HubSpot Sales Hub or Service Hub.
If neither fits, our list of GoHighLevel alternatives compares ten platforms, including white-label platforms like Vendasta and SuiteDash.

Moving from HubSpot to HighLevel
HighLevel's help center documents a HubSpot Importer, updated in September 2026. You connect your HubSpot account from the Contacts import menu, pick the objects, and HighLevel shows a report of what imported, failed or needs review. According to that article:
- It imports contacts, companies, deals (as opportunities with their pipelines and stages), custom properties, custom folders, notes, tasks and emails.
- Imported emails are read-only, recurring tasks are not supported, and an opportunity with no contact cannot be imported.
- HighLevel suggests turning on "Allow duplicates" during the import and testing in a new sub-account first.
Workflows, landing pages and forms do not move automatically. HighLevel's HubSpot migration guide says to document each workflow and rebuild it by hand, save email templates as HTML and recreate them, then test everything before switching off HubSpot. Keep a full HubSpot export as a backup until the new setup has run cleanly for a month.
Questions
Is GoHighLevel cheaper than HubSpot?
For an agency running several clients, yes at list price. HighLevel Unlimited is $297 a month for unlimited client sub-accounts, contacts and users, with texts, calls and email billed by use. HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional is $890 a month per business on monthly billing plus a required $3,000 onboarding fee. For a single business that only needs email and forms for up to 1,000 marketing contacts, HubSpot Starter at $20 per seat a month costs less than any HighLevel plan.
Can you white-label HubSpot?
No. HubSpot's pricing pages and product catalog list no white-label or rebranded version of the software. Agencies work with HubSpot through the Solutions Partner Program, which starts at $400 a month and pays a 20% revenue share for three years on deals a partner brings in. The client's account stays a HubSpot account. HighLevel lets you put your own brand and domain on the app, and Agency Pro adds SaaS Mode to resell it as your own software.
Can you migrate from HubSpot to GoHighLevel?
Yes. HighLevel has a HubSpot Importer that connects to your HubSpot account and brings over contacts, companies, deals (as opportunities), pipelines and stages, custom properties, notes, tasks and emails. Imported emails are read-only and recurring tasks are not supported. Workflows, landing pages and forms do not transfer: HighLevel's migration guide says to rebuild them by hand and to save email templates as HTML to recreate them. HighLevel recommends testing the import in a new sub-account first.
What are the API rate limits for GoHighLevel vs HubSpot?
HighLevel's API 2.0 allows a burst of 100 requests per 10 seconds and 200,000 requests a day, counted per marketplace app per location or company. HubSpot's limits depend on the app type and tier: privately distributed apps get 100 requests per 10 seconds and 250,000 a day on Free and Starter, and 190 per 10 seconds with 625,000 a day on Professional. Public marketplace apps get 110 requests per 10 seconds per installing account.
Does HubSpot include texting and calling like GoHighLevel?
Not in the same way. In Marketing Hub, texting is a $75 a month add-on for Professional and Enterprise that includes 1,000 message segments, sent from US numbers to US and Canadian numbers only. Calling is part of Sales Hub and Service Hub, with 500 to 12,000 minutes a month depending on tier. HighLevel includes both on every plan and bills them by use: $0.00747 per text segment and $0.0166 per outbound minute in the US.
Is HubSpot or GoHighLevel better for a marketing agency?
It depends on who owns the software. If you manage many local businesses and want to bill them for software under your brand, HighLevel fits better. If your clients are mid-sized companies that will own their HubSpot account and pay you for strategy and implementation, HubSpot and its partner program fit better.
