Rules to watch
Coaching is not therapy. Unless the coach is also a licensed clinician, coaching is not mental health treatment, so the AI must not assess, diagnose or counsel. If a caller mentions thoughts of suicide or self-harm, it should give the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which takes calls and texts at 988 around the clock, suggest 911 for immediate danger, and alert the coach.
Testimonials. The FTC's Endorsement Guides cover client testimonials used in marketing: they must reflect honest experiences, and unusual results need context about what people can generally expect. Keep transformation claims out of the AI's script.
