The short answer

GoHighLevel vs BoldTrail (kvCORE) comes down to what you need to run. BoldTrail (kvCORE) is the better fit for brokerages and larger teams that want IDX websites, CRM, lead generation and back office from one real estate vendor. HighLevel is the better fit for independent agents, small teams and marketing agencies that want published prices and one system they can adapt beyond real estate. BoldTrail (kvCORE)'s BoldTrail Platform plan is Quote on request; HighLevel starts at $97 a month with usage billed on top.

BoldTrail, formerly kvCORE, is a real estate platform from Inside Real Estate for agents, teams and brokerages. BoldTrail's own blog says the company unified kvCORE, BoomTown and Brokermint under the BoldTrail brand in mid-2024 and calls BoldTrail the next generation of kvCORE. The platform combines IDX websites, a lead engine, an AI-powered smart CRM, a power dialer, mass email and text, marketing automation and listing marketing, with BackOffice and Recruit modules for brokerages. Prices are given after a demo request.

Where BoldTrail (kvCORE) is stronger

BoldTrail (kvCORE) advantages

  • IDX websites, CRM and lead generation are built for real estate from the start.
  • Brokerage tools, BackOffice for commissions and accounting and Recruit for hiring, come from the same vendor.
  • Behavior-based automation, such as a text after a lead views several properties, runs without agent input.
  • Power dialer, daily call lists and a mobile app for agents working on the go.

Where BoldTrail (kvCORE) falls short

  • No public pricing; you need a demo to get a number.
  • Real estate only, so it does not fit agencies with clients in other industries.
  • Its site does not describe AI phone answering, which HighLevel Voice AI provides.
  • BoldTrail's blog says kvCORE is being phased out, so existing kvCORE users face a platform change either way.

Where HighLevel is stronger

HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.

Who should pick which

Choose BoldTrail (kvCORE) Brokerages and larger teams that want IDX websites, CRM, lead generation and back office from one real estate vendor.
Choose HighLevel Independent agents, small teams and marketing agencies that want published prices and one system they can adapt beyond real estate.

Switching

BoldTrail's blog says kvCORE is being phased out in favor of BoldTrail, so kvCORE users are facing a move either way. If you pick HighLevel instead, export contacts, notes and tags, and plan a replacement for listing search, since HighLevel's feature list has no native IDX. Rebuild smart campaigns as HighLevel workflows, and keep your domain so old listing and community pages can be redirected to the new site.

Verdict

BoldTrail, the platform formerly sold as kvCORE, is a full real estate stack: IDX sites, AI-driven follow-up, a power dialer, automation and brokerage back office. For a brokerage that wants one vendor for agents and operations, it covers more real estate ground than HighLevel. The catch is opacity, because prices come only after a demo and vary by module. HighLevel publishes prices from $97 a month, includes unlimited users, and adds Voice AI, review requests and course hosting, but lacks native IDX and brokerage accounting. Agents who value listing search and brokerage tools should look at BoldTrail; those who want to own their marketing system and budget should look at HighLevel.

Questions

Is kvCORE now called BoldTrail?
Yes. BoldTrail's blog says that in mid-2024 Inside Real Estate, the company behind kvCORE, BoomTown and Brokermint, unified its platforms under the BoldTrail brand, and it describes BoldTrail as the next generation of kvCORE. The same post says kvCORE is being phased out in favor of BoldTrail. The kvCORE login page is still online under Inside Real Estate.
How much does BoldTrail cost?
BoldTrail does not list prices. Its pricing page leads to a demo and a form, and its blog says pricing varies with team size and the modules you choose, which makes a direct comparison hard. HighLevel's plans are $97, $297 and $497 a month, with texts, calls, email and AI billed by use, so an agent can estimate costs before talking to sales.
Does BoldTrail include a dialer and texting?
Yes. BoldTrail's smart CRM page mentions daily call lists and a power dialer, mass email, text and video messaging, and automatic texts triggered by lead activity such as viewing several properties. HighLevel includes calling and texting on every plan, billed per minute and per message, and adds Voice AI that can call a new lead from a workflow within its outbound calling rules.
Should a real estate agent choose GoHighLevel or BoldTrail?
If your brokerage already provides BoldTrail, use it first: the IDX website and CRM are paid for and built for real estate. If you are independent and want your own system, HighLevel gives you websites, funnels, texting, email, review requests and Voice AI at published prices, though you will need an IDX provider for listing search and more setup time.
