The short answer

GoHighLevel vs FieldEdge comes down to what you need to run. FieldEdge is the better fit for HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies running several trucks that want dispatch, a flat rate pricebook and QuickBooks sync in one system. HighLevel is the better fit for contractors and agencies that want published pricing, a website and funnel builder, AI call answering and marketing on every plan. FieldEdge is field service management software from Xplor Technologies for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locksmith and appliance repair companies, aimed at SMB and mid-market service leaders. Plans cover dispatching, booking and scheduling, agreements, quotes, customer management, a flat rate pricebook and QuickBooks sync. Where FieldEdge is stronger

FieldEdge advantages

  • Built for HVAC and plumbing service work, with a flat rate pricebook, service agreements and multi-option quotes.
  • QuickBooks integration for both Online and Desktop on every plan.
  • MarketingEdge automates emails and texts across business units and sends NPS and review requests.
  • Elite bundles outbound call recording, Proposal Pro and a consumer management portal.

Where FieldEdge falls short

  • No published prices and no free trial; HighLevel lists its prices and offers a 14-day trial.
  • Texting, email and review requests sit in MarketingEdge, which is priced on request below Elite.
  • FieldEdge's site does not describe an AI agent that answers calls, while HighLevel includes Voice AI.
  • Beyond MarketingEdge landing pages there is no website builder, funnel builder or course tool.

Where HighLevel is stronger

HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.

Who should pick which

Choose FieldEdge HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies running several trucks that want dispatch, a flat rate pricebook and QuickBooks sync in one system.
Choose HighLevel Contractors and agencies that want published pricing, a website and funnel builder, AI call answering and marketing on every plan.

Switching

FieldEdge is sold with guided onboarding, so read your agreement before changing anything. Most contractors would keep FieldEdge for dispatch and invoicing and move marketing to HighLevel, which could stand in for MarketingEdge on email, texting and review requests. Export customer records as CSV for HighLevel's contact import, and start A2P 10DLC registration for business texting early, because the campaign must be approved before messages go out.

Verdict

FieldEdge is a mature choice for HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops that live on service agreements, flat rate pricing and QuickBooks. Its marketing arrives through MarketingEdge, included on Elite and quoted on lower tiers, and every price starts with a demo. HighLevel is not a dispatch system, but as a marketing platform it covers far more: websites, funnels, email and SMS, review requests, calendars and Voice AI, all at a published price from $97/mo. If operations are the bottleneck, look at FieldEdge. If lead flow and follow-up are, HighLevel is the stronger tool.

Questions

How much does FieldEdge cost?
FieldEdge does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows three plans, Select, Premier and Elite, and says pricing varies because you customize the software and add-ons; you schedule a free demo to get a quote. It also says there is no free trial because of its onboarding process. HighLevel lists Starter at $97/mo, Unlimited at $297/mo and Agency Pro at $497/mo, with a 14-day free trial.
What is FieldEdge MarketingEdge?
MarketingEdge is FieldEdge's marketing add-on. Its page lists automated emails and texts across business units, two-way customer texting, forms and landing pages, and automated NPS and review requests. It comes standard on Elite and is call for pricing on Select and Premier. HighLevel includes the same kinds of tools, plus a website and funnel builder, social planner and Voice AI, on every plan.
Can GoHighLevel replace FieldEdge?
For marketing, largely yes; for field operations, no. HighLevel does not list a dispatch board, flat rate pricebook or service agreement management, which are core to FieldEdge. A contractor could replace MarketingEdge with HighLevel and keep FieldEdge for jobs, which avoids paying for two marketing tools while keeping the operations system the office already knows.
Does FieldEdge have AI call answering?
Its pricing page and MarketingEdge page do not describe an AI receptionist; the call feature listed is outbound call recording on Elite. If after-hours calls go to voicemail, HighLevel Voice AI can answer, qualify the caller, book an appointment and send a follow-up text, from $0.06 per minute before AI tokens and phone charges, or $97/mo per sub-account for unlimited use under fair use.
