The short answer
GoHighLevel vs Insightly comes down to what you need to run. Insightly is the better fit for service firms that sell and then deliver projects and want both stages tracked in one CRM. HighLevel is the better fit for businesses that want marketing, texting, calling and booking under one price instead of several Insightly products. Insightly's CRM Plus plan is $29 per user/month, billed annually; HighLevel starts at $97 a month with usage billed on top.
Insightly is a CRM for small and mid-sized businesses that pairs sales pipelines with project management, so a won deal can move straight into delivery. CRM plans cost $29, $49 and $99 per user a month, billed annually in US dollars, with record limits from 100,000 to 500,000. Insightly also sells Marketing Automation (email, landing pages, forms and journeys), a Service help desk and AppConnect integrations as separate products, plus an all-in-one bundle. A 14-day trial needs no credit card.

Where Insightly is stronger
Insightly advantages
- Project management is built into the CRM, which helps teams that deliver work after the sale.
- Professional adds lead assignment and routing, workflow automation and AI Copilot.
- Marketing Automation brings landing pages, A/B email testing and prospect scoring when you need them.
- AppConnect provides a built-in integration platform for linking other apps.
Where Insightly falls short
- Each function is a separate subscription: CRM per user, marketing per account, plus service and integrations.
- Published prices are annual only, with no monthly option shown.
- No calling, texting, website builder or review tools are listed.
- Marketing Automation starts at $99 a month on top of CRM seats, which alone is more than HighLevel Starter at $97.
Where HighLevel is stronger
HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.
Who should pick which
| Choose Insightly | Service firms that sell and then deliver projects and want both stages tracked in one CRM. |
|---|---|
| Choose HighLevel | Businesses that want marketing, texting, calling and booking under one price instead of several Insightly products. |
Switching
Export Insightly contacts, organizations, opportunities and projects to CSV. Import contacts and organizations into HighLevel as contacts and companies, and rebuild opportunity pipelines with the same stages. Project records do not map neatly onto HighLevel's contacts and pipelines, so decide where project tracking will live before you move. Journeys and landing pages from Marketing Automation need rebuilding as HighLevel workflows and funnels.
Verdict
Insightly suits a firm that wants sales and project delivery in one CRM and is comfortable buying marketing and service as separate modules. Its published prices are annual and per user, and adding Marketing Automation at $99 a month more than doubles the bill for a three-user Plus team, which pays $87 a month for CRM alone. HighLevel is not sold as a project tool, but it bundles email, texting, calling, funnels, websites and reviews in one monthly plan with unlimited users. If delivery tracking is central, Insightly has the edge. If lead generation and follow-up come first, HighLevel covers more for less.
