The short answer
Yes. HighLevel is sold mostly to agencies, but its pricing page describes the $97 Starter plan as suited to smaller businesses and solo marketers, and its FAQ says Starter's 3 sub-accounts make it a fit for a single business owner. You run your company inside one sub-account with unlimited contacts and users, and keep the other two for testing or a second brand.
How a single business sets it up
Every HighLevel account has an agency view on top and sub-accounts underneath. The agency view holds billing and system-wide settings; the sub-account is where the CRM, pipelines, calendars, funnels, website, inbox and workflows live. A business owner signs up for Starter, creates one sub-account for the company, and does the day-to-day work there. The agency layer can feel odd when you have no clients, but you only visit it for billing, team logins and account-wide settings.
What a single business tends to use
The pricing FAQ says most users replace their CRM, funnel builder, email marketing, appointment scheduler, SMS tools and review management with HighLevel. For one company, the pieces that usually pay off first are the booking calendar with reminders, missed call text back, a shared inbox for texts, email and social messages, review requests, and a simple website or landing page. Voice AI can answer the phone as well, billed per minute or through a $50 or $97 monthly AI Employee plan for the sub-account.
What it costs one business
Starter is $97 a month or $970 a year. On top, expect a local number at $1.15 a month, texts at $0.00747 per segment plus carrier fees, inbound calls from $0.01165 a minute and email at $0.675 per 1,000. Texting customers in the US also requires A2P 10DLC registration, which has a one-time fee and a monthly campaign fee. Agency features such as SaaS Mode and usage rebilling do nothing for a single company, so Unlimited and Agency Pro rarely make sense unless you add more businesses.
When a different setup fits better
If you run several locations as separate businesses, each usually gets its own sub-account, and more than 3 means the Unlimited plan. If you handle protected health information, HighLevel sells a HIPAA compliance add-on at $297 a month for the whole account, which cannot be turned off once enabled; talk to a compliance advisor about your own obligations. Some businesses get HighLevel through an agency instead, in which case the agency controls the account, its billing and any cancellation.
