The short answer

GoHighLevel for cleaning services works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single cleaning company fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $163 a month. An agency running ten cleaning services on Unlimited pays about $96 per business.

Cleaning companies sell trust as much as clean floors, and the first test is whether someone picks up the phone. New customers call to ask what a deep clean includes, whether cleaners bring supplies and how much a three-bedroom costs. Regular clients call to skip a week, add the oven or change the entry code. Owners who also clean, or who run crews across town, end up returning calls at night, and a prospect who waited until evening has usually booked someone else by then.

Why cleaning services miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical cleaning company has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Price for a recurring clean
  • Deep clean or move-out clean quote
  • Skip or reschedule a visit
  • Add-ons such as the oven, fridge or inside windows
  • Questions about supplies, pets and who will come
  • Short-term rental turnovers
  • Entry codes, keys and alarm details

Five workflows to build first

  1. Instant quote follow-upLeads who enter bedrooms, bathrooms and frequency on your site get a text with the price and a booking link within a minute. If they don't book, a reminder goes out the next day listing open days that week.
  2. Visit reminders with an access checkTwo days before each visit, clients get a reminder asking them to confirm entry details. Replies that change the code or ask to skip update the contact and alert the scheduler.
  3. Post-clean feedbackAfter a first clean, the client gets a one-question text asking how it went. Low scores create a task for the owner to call, and every client also gets the Google review link whatever score they gave.
  4. Move-out jobs from agents and landlordsReal estate agents and property managers who send move-out cleans go into their own pipeline with a monthly check-in. Each referred booking is tagged to the agent, so you know whom to thank.
  5. Lapsed client win-backClients with no visit in 60 days get a friendly check-in by email, and those who agreed to marketing texts get a text offering their old day and cleaner back if available.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for cleaning services.

Rules to watch

Reviews and incentives. Some cleaning companies offer a discount for leaving a review. FTC guidance says an incentive must not depend on the review being positive and that the review should disclose it. The FTC's 2024 rule also bans fake reviews and restricts reviews from employees or their relatives that hide the connection.

Text and email consent. Keep reminder texts separate from promotions and store marketing consent on the contact. Under the FTC's CAN-SPAM guidance, promotional emails need an accurate subject line, your valid postal address and a working opt-out that you honor within 10 business days.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

Software cleaning services often use

ZenMaid, Launch27, BookingKoala, Jobber, Housecall Pro. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One cleaning company fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many cleaning services should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

Can a house cleaning business run on GoHighLevel alone?
A small team can. HighLevel covers booking calendars, reminders, texting, invoices and card payments, reviews and a website with a quote form. Larger companies with many cleaners often keep a scheduling tool built for cleaning, such as ZenMaid or Jobber, for team schedules, and use HighLevel for marketing and client messages.
How can a cleaning company collect more Google reviews with GoHighLevel?
Automate the ask: a text after the first clean and after every tenth visit, with a direct link to your Google profile. HighLevel's review widget shows reviews on your site, and Reviews AI drafts replies. Ask every client, and if you offer an incentive, don't tie it to a positive rating.
Does GoHighLevel handle payments for recurring cleans?
HighLevel includes invoices, text-to-pay and tap-to-pay through processors such as Stripe and Square, so clients can pay from a text after each visit. Decide how you will handle declined cards and tips before switching, and test the whole flow with one client first.
What does texting cost a cleaning company on GoHighLevel?
Each text segment costs $0.00747 plus a carrier fee of about $0.0035 to $0.005, and a local number is $1.15 a month. At our assumption of 800 texts a month for reminders and replies, that is under $10. A2P 10DLC registration comes first, with a one-time fee of $22.50 on the smaller campaign types.
