The short answer
GoHighLevel for course creators works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single online course business fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $134 a month. An agency running ten course creators on Unlimited pays about $67 per business.
Course creators run a business with a big audience and a small team, often a team of one. Launches bring a spike of questions about access, refunds and payment plans, arriving while the creator is hosting webinars or live calls. Outside launches, the business runs on email: welcome sequences, evergreen webinars and reminders that nudge students to finish modules. Phone calls are rarer, and they often come from buyers weighing a higher-priced program who want to hear from someone before they commit.
Why course creators miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical online course business has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Cannot log in to the course
- Asking what the course covers before buying
- Payment plan or failed payment question
- Refund request
- Live session or group call times
- Team or company licenses
Five workflows to build first
- Evergreen webinar funnelRegistrants get confirmation and reminders by email and text, the replay link after the session, and a three-email offer sequence with a real deadline. Buyers leave the sequence the moment they purchase and move into onboarding.
- Student onboardingBuyers get course access, a welcome email and a text with login steps. Three days later every new student gets a check-in email asking whether they have started, with a direct link to lesson one.
- Login trouble self-serveA 'can't log in' form sends reset instructions by email and text straight away. If the student replies that it did not work, a task goes to support with their purchase email attached.
- Launch waitlistBefore a cohort opens, a waitlist form collects emails and SMS opt-ins. Waitlisters hear that the cart is open an hour before the public announcement, then get reminders during the open period only.
- Team license inquiriesCompanies asking for team access fill in a form with seat count and start date, which creates an opportunity and emails a PDF overview. The creator gets a task to reply with pricing within one business day.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for course creators.
Rules to watch
Earnings and outcome claims. Courses about making money carry the most risk. The FTC's January 2025 proposals would extend its Business Opportunity Rule to money-making opportunities, and its Endorsement Guides already require context for unusual results in student testimonials. The AI must never promise income, jobs or specific outcomes.
Memberships and installment plans. If you sell memberships or installment plans online, ROSCA requires clear disclosure of material terms, express informed consent before charging, and simple mechanisms to stop recurring charges. The AI should explain how to cancel plainly when asked.
Launch emails. CAN-SPAM rules apply to every promotional email in a launch sequence: no deceptive subject lines, a physical postal address, and opt-outs honored within 10 business days, even in the middle of cart-open week.

Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, Kit, Zoom, Circle. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.
Which plan
One online course business fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many course creators should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
