The short answer

GoHighLevel for day spas works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single day spa fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $185 a month. An agency running ten day spas on Unlimited pays about $117 per business.

Day spas sell longer, higher-priced appointments that often involve more than one room and provider: a couples massage, a facial followed by a body wrap, a bridal party package. Booking those by phone takes time, and front desk staff are usually checking guests in or out when the phone rings. Gift card buyers call in waves before holidays, and every one of those calls that goes unanswered is a sale that moves to another spa.

Why day spas miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical day spa has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Booking a massage or facial
  • Couples or group packages
  • Buying a gift card
  • Redeeming a gift card or checking the balance
  • What to expect on a first visit
  • Health questions before a service, such as pregnancy

Five workflows to build first

  1. Package booking requestsMulti-service and couples requests come in through a form asking the date, services and number of guests, and the front desk gets a task to arrange rooms and providers before confirming.
  2. Pre-visit instructionsThe day before, guests get a reminder with arrival time, parking, what to wear and the intake form link, so check-in moves faster when they arrive.
  3. Gift card sales campaignsIn November, December and before Mother's Day, past guests get a gift card offer by email and text with a purchase link, and buyers get a thank-you with a reminder to pass the card on.
  4. Gift card redemption nudgeWhen the spa has a recipient's contact details and they have not booked within three months, they get a gentle reminder about their card and a booking link.
  5. Membership credit remindersMembers on a monthly massage plan get a reminder when their credit for the month is unused, with a booking link before it rolls over or lapses under the spa's rules.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

What it costs

Our assumptions for a typical day spa: 300 calls a month answered by Voice AI at 3 minutes each, 1,000 text segments and 2,500 emails. These are starting points, not measured data.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for day spas.

Rules to watch

Gift card expiration and fees. Regulation E limits store gift cards: funds generally must last at least five years from issue or last load, and dormancy fees can apply only after twelve months without activity, at most once a month, and only when disclosed on the card. Put your terms on the purchase page and give the AI the same wording.

Health questions stay with staff. A day spa is not a medical provider, and the AI should not judge whether a massage or treatment is safe during pregnancy, after an injury or with a medication. Have it note the condition and pass it to a therapist or manager, and tell the guest to check with their doctor where your policy calls for it.

Consent for holiday promotions. Gift card and holiday offers sent by text are marketing, and FCC rules require prior express written consent for automated telemarketing texts. Keep a consent checkbox on the intake form and send promotions only to guests who ticked it.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

Software day spas often use

Book4Time, Mindbody, Zenoti, Boulevard, Mangomint. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One day spa fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many day spas should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

How much does GoHighLevel cost for a day spa?
About $185 a month on our assumptions: the Starter plan at $97, and usage for 300 AI-answered calls, 1,000 texts and 2,500 emails. Change the numbers in the calculator to match your day spa.
Can a day spa use GoHighLevel for bookings?
Yes, with a calendar per therapist and reminders by text and email. Before moving your whole booking system, test how couples suites and multi-service packages that tie up a room and two providers would be booked. If that fit is weak, keep your spa software for scheduling and use HighLevel for marketing, gift card campaigns and phone coverage.
Which GoHighLevel plan fits a day spa?
Starter at $97 a month fits one spa, with unlimited logins for therapists and the front desk, and three sub-accounts if you open a second location or run a separate retail brand. Spa groups beyond three locations need Unlimited at $297. Texts, calls and AI usage are billed on top of either plan.
How can a day spa sell more gift cards with GoHighLevel?
Put a gift card purchase page on your site, promote it by email and text in the weeks before holidays, and use a workflow to thank buyers and remind recipients to book. Keep federal gift card rules on expiration and fees in mind when you write the terms.
Can GoHighLevel handle spa memberships?
HighLevel can take recurring payments and run membership offers, so a monthly massage plan can be sold on a checkout page with reminders about unused credits. Tracking credits against bookings may need a custom field that staff update. Make the cancellation terms clear at signup.
