The short answer

GoHighLevel for immigration lawyers works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single immigration law firm fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $226 a month. An agency running ten immigration lawyers on Unlimited pays about $158 per business.

Immigration law firms serve callers who are often anxious, may speak limited English and face deadlines set by agencies they do not control. Some have already been burned by notarios or unlicensed consultants, so trust is fragile. Calls range from a green card renewal to a relative detained that morning, and they come from many time zones and in many languages. Intake has to be multilingual and patient, and clear that only attorneys or accredited representatives give immigration advice.

Why immigration lawyers miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical immigration law firm has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Family-based green card
  • Work visa or employer sponsorship
  • Citizenship and naturalization
  • Relative detained by immigration authorities
  • Notice from USCIS or a court date
  • Asylum questions
  • Case status for an existing client

Five workflows to build first

  1. Language preference routingIntake records the caller's preferred language, and workflows send confirmations, reminders and document checklists in that language using templates the firm has had reviewed by a qualified translator.
  2. Detention alertAny inquiry that mentions detention creates an urgent task and alerts the attorney on duty with the detained person's name and any A-number the caller has, instead of entering the routine booking flow.
  3. Consultation and document checklistAfter conflicts clear, the prospect books a consultation and receives a checklist, such as passports and earlier immigration papers, with reminders before the appointment.
  4. New notice follow-upWhen a client reports a new government notice, a task goes to the paralegal to review it and confirm any response deadline with the attorney, so nothing sits in an inbox.
  5. Status update textsRetained clients get texts in their language when the firm files, when receipts arrive and when interviews are scheduled, which cuts status calls without sharing case details.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.36 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for immigration lawyers.

Rules to watch

Who can give immigration advice. USCIS explains that only attorneys and accredited representatives of Department of Justice recognized organizations, plus certain supervised law students and graduates, may represent people on immigration matters, and that notarios cannot. The AI must never assess eligibility or suggest which form to file; it books time with the attorney.

Prospective client confidentiality. Model Rule 1.18 protects what prospective clients share even if the firm declines the case, and immigration callers may worry that information will reach the government. The AI should explain that the firm keeps the call confidential, collect only intake basics and leave the facts for the attorney.

Plain, non-misleading advertising. Model Rule 7.1 prohibits false or misleading statements about a lawyer's services, which in immigration work includes implying guaranteed approvals or faster processing. Keep the AI's statements about results, timelines and fees in approved wording, and have every translation checked.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

Software immigration lawyers often use

Docketwise, INSZoom, LawLogix, Clio. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One immigration law firm fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many immigration lawyers should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

Can GoHighLevel handle multilingual intake for an immigration firm?
Yes. Forms, emails and texts can be written in several languages, and a preferred language field lets workflows send the right version. Voice AI supports 53 languages plus a Multilingual option for English and Spanish in one agent. Have a qualified translator review every template before it goes live.
Does GoHighLevel prepare immigration forms?
No. Form preparation and case management for USCIS filings are not on HighLevel's feature list; immigration tools such as Docketwise handle them. HighLevel covers intake, consultation booking, reminders, status texts, reviews and marketing, and a signed client can move to the case system at retention.
Can immigration clients get status updates by text?
Yes. Pipeline stages such as Filed, Receipt Received and Interview Scheduled can each trigger a text in the client's language. Keep messages general, without receipt numbers or sensitive details, and offer email instead when a client shares a phone with others.
What does GoHighLevel cost an immigration law firm?
Starter at $97 a month includes unlimited users and contacts plus three sub-accounts. Texts cost $0.00747 per segment plus carrier fees, and email $0.675 per 1,000. WhatsApp messaging is an add-on at $10 a month per sub-account plus Meta's message rates, useful for clients who prefer it.
