Where Close is stronger

Close advantages

  • Calls, texts and email share one inbox, with automatic call logging and voicemail drop.
  • A power dialer on Growth and a predictive dialer on Scale for high-volume outbound teams.
  • Chloe, the built-in AI sales agent, can call lead lists in batches and book meetings on every plan.
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee, and the free trial needs no credit card.

Where Close falls short

  • Priced per user: a five-person team on Growth pays $495 a month on annual billing before call charges.
  • No funnel builder, website builder, course hosting or review tools are listed, and HighLevel includes all four.
  • Solo and Essentials do not include workflows.
  • No client sub-accounts or white-label option for agencies.

Where HighLevel is stronger

HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.

Who should pick which

Choose Close Inside sales teams that make many calls a day and want the dialer, email and SMS inside the CRM.
Choose HighLevel Businesses and agencies that need marketing tools such as funnels, websites and review requests alongside calling and texting.

Switching

Both platforms run calls and texts, so plan the phone move first. Decide whether to port your numbers or start fresh on HighLevel, and register for A2P 10DLC before texting US numbers, a requirement Close also lists. Export leads, contacts and opportunities to CSV and import them into HighLevel, then rebuild Smart Views as smart lists and sequences as workflows. Download any call recordings you need to keep before closing the account.

Verdict

Close is a focused tool for teams whose job is phone and email outreach, and its dialers, call coaching and Chloe AI agent are built around that. It is priced per user and does not try to be a marketing platform. HighLevel also includes calling, texting and Voice AI, but it adds funnels, websites, reviews, courses and client sub-accounts at a flat price with unlimited users. A ten-rep outbound team will likely prefer Close's dialer-first design. A local business or agency that has to attract leads as well as call them will get more from HighLevel for the money.

Questions

Is Close cheaper than GoHighLevel?
For one person, yes: Close Solo is $9 a month billed annually. For a team, it depends on seats. Close Essentials is $35 per user a month billed annually, so three users cost $105 a month, already above HighLevel Starter at $97 with unlimited users. Both add call and text charges on top: Close says most outbound calls cost about $0.02 a minute, and HighLevel charges $0.0166.
Can Close make AI phone calls like GoHighLevel Voice AI?
Yes. Close says Chloe, its AI sales agent on every plan, calls leads, holds qualifying conversations and books meetings, and can call down a list in batches using monthly AI credits. HighLevel's Voice AI answers inbound calls around the clock and places outbound calls from workflows, priced by the minute or at $97 a month per sub-account for unlimited use under fair use.
Does Close include email marketing?
Close includes one-to-one email on every plan and adds bulk email on Growth and Scale, aimed at sales outreach rather than newsletters. Its pricing page lists no drag-and-drop newsletter builder or landing pages. HighLevel includes an email builder, broadcast campaigns, landing pages and forms on every plan, with email sending billed at $0.675 per 1,000 messages.
Is Close or GoHighLevel better for an agency?
HighLevel is designed for agencies, with a sub-account for each client, unlimited sub-accounts on the $297 Unlimited plan and white-label options. Close sells additional organizations at $50 each a month, with one free on Growth and Scale, but lists no white-label option. Close suits an agency's own sales team, while HighLevel suits delivering software and marketing to clients.
