The short answer

GoHighLevel vs Goodcall comes down to what you need to run. Goodcall is the better fit for single-location businesses that want a flat, predictable monthly fee for AI call answering and get many long or repeat calls. HighLevel is the better fit for agencies managing many clients that want inbound and outbound AI calls tied to pipelines, texts and email follow-up in one CRM. Goodcall's Starter plan is $79/mo per agent, or $66/mo billed annually; HighLevel starts at $97 a month with usage billed on top.

Goodcall is an AI phone agent for businesses that answers inbound calls, captures leads and books appointments. It is built for owners rather than engineers: Goodcall says an agent can be launched in a few minutes with no engineering team. Caller details can be shared by SMS, email, Google Sheets or a CRM, and Zapier links it to other tools. Its pricing model is unusual. Plans are per agent and count unique callers each month, with no charge for call minutes or AI tokens, so a long call costs the same as a short one.

Where Goodcall is stronger

Goodcall advantages

  • No per-minute or token charges, so long calls never raise the bill.
  • Repeat callers are cheap: a caller counts once a month however many times they phone.
  • Owner-friendly setup with logic flows and Google Sheets and Zapier connections.
  • Annual billing takes about 15% off each plan.

Where Goodcall falls short

  • Plans are priced per agent, so a multi-location business or an agency with many clients pays the fee for each one.
  • Call and customer details are kept only 7 days on Starter and 30 days on Growth.
  • Goodcall's site describes inbound answering and does not mention outbound AI calling, which HighLevel Voice AI supports.
  • Goodcall does not list pipelines, email campaigns or nurture sequences, so follow-up runs elsewhere.

Where HighLevel is stronger

HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.

Who should pick which

Choose Goodcall Single-location businesses that want a flat, predictable monthly fee for AI call answering and get many long or repeat calls.
Choose HighLevel Agencies managing many clients that want inbound and outbound AI calls tied to pipelines, texts and email follow-up in one CRM.

Switching

Moving from Goodcall to HighLevel means routing the business line to an LC Phone or Twilio number connected to a Voice AI agent. Rebuild each Goodcall logic flow as prompt instructions and HighLevel actions such as booking, contact updates and transfers. Export the leads Goodcall saved to Google Sheets or your CRM before the plan's retention window clears the call details, and run both side by side for a week if the client is nervous.

Verdict

Goodcall has the simplest pricing in this group: a flat fee per agent, unlimited minutes, and $0.50 for each unique caller past the allowance. For one business with long calls, that can beat any per-minute product. HighLevel Voice AI is cheaper at low volume on pay per use, and on AI Employee Unlimited ($97 a month per sub-account, fair use, phone extra) it lands near Goodcall's Growth price with a full CRM, texting and outbound calling attached. Agencies with several clients will usually prefer HighLevel's per-sub-account model; a lone owner who wants a finished tool may prefer Goodcall.

Questions

How does Goodcall pricing work?
Goodcall charges per agent: Starter $79 a month, Growth $129 and Scale $249, or $66, $108 and $208 a month on annual billing. Each plan includes a number of unique customers per month (100, 250 or 500), and each extra unique caller costs $0.50. Goodcall says it does not charge for calls, minutes or tokens, so call length does not change the price.
What counts as a unique customer on Goodcall?
Goodcall defines it as any caller with a unique phone number who calls and actually interacts with the agent in a given month, meaning they say something rather than hanging up straight away. A customer who calls five times in one month counts once. Callers who hang up without speaking to the agent do not count under that definition.
Is Goodcall cheaper than GoHighLevel Voice AI?
It depends on call length and volume. HighLevel pay per use costs $0.06 a minute for the engine and a standard voice, plus tokens and phone, so 100 three-minute calls come to about $22 before tokens. Goodcall Starter is $79 for up to 100 unique callers. With high volume and long calls, Goodcall's flat fee or HighLevel's $97 AI Employee Unlimited plan tends to come out ahead.
Can Goodcall send leads into GoHighLevel?
Goodcall says it shares captured calls by SMS, email, Google Sheets or your CRM, and it connects to other tools through Zapier. HighLevel is not named on its pricing page, so a Zapier step into a HighLevel sub-account is the likely route; confirm the details with Goodcall. Running the agent inside HighLevel avoids that extra connection.
