Where ThriveCart is stronger

ThriveCart advantages

  • A lifetime Standard account for a one-time $495, instead of a monthly bill.
  • 0% fees on sales on Standard and Pro+, according to its pricing section.
  • Checkouts with bumps, upsells and downsells, A/B split testing, subscriptions and buy now pay later options.
  • ThriveCart Academy for courses and communities, with up to 2,000 community members on Standard.

Where ThriveCart falls short

  • Email marketing and CRM rely on integrations such as ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit and Mailchimp; HighLevel has both built in.
  • No texting, calling, AI phone agent or review management is listed.
  • The pricing section covers checkout and funnel pages but lists no full website builder.
  • The affiliate center, dunning and multi-user permissions need Pro+ at $87 a month.

Where HighLevel is stronger

HighLevel puts CRM, funnels, websites, two-way texting, calling, review requests, courses and an AI phone agent in one login, and agencies can put their own brand on it from the Unlimited plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and usage charges on top of the plan, which our cost calculator adds up. For the full picture read our GoHighLevel review.

Who should pick which

Choose ThriveCart Creators selling courses, digital products and subscriptions who want capable checkouts and would rather pay once than monthly.
Choose HighLevel Businesses that want CRM, email, texting, calling and review requests in the same account as their checkout.

Switching

A ThriveCart move centers on products and subscriptions. List every product, bump and upsell, export customer data, and check with your processor whether active subscriptions can be moved or must be restarted. Rebuild order forms and upsell steps in HighLevel funnels, move course content into HighLevel memberships, and replace the email integration you used with HighLevel email. A lifetime ThriveCart account is already paid for, so weigh HighLevel's monthly fee against that.

Verdict

ThriveCart suits creators who want a capable checkout and course host and like paying once: the lifetime Standard account is $495, or $47 a month on the monthly plan. It is not an all-in-one marketing system. Email and CRM come from connected tools, and there is no texting or calling. HighLevel costs more each month at $97, with usage billed on top, but it combines checkout, CRM, email, texting, calling, reviews and client accounts. Choose ThriveCart for selling online with low ongoing cost; choose HighLevel when you want one system for leads and follow-up.

Questions

Does ThriveCart still offer a lifetime deal?
Yes. ThriveCart's site says a lifetime option is available, and its checkout lists the ThriveCart Standard account at $495 as a one-time payment. Monthly plans are also sold: Standard at $47 a month and Pro+ at $87 a month, each with a 30-day free trial. HighLevel has no lifetime plan; it bills monthly or annually, starting at $97 a month.
Does ThriveCart include email marketing?
ThriveCart's pricing section does not list a built-in email marketing tool. It lists 100+ direct integrations, including ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit and Mailchimp, so most sellers pair it with one of those for newsletters and sequences. HighLevel includes an email builder, broadcast campaigns and automations, with sending billed at $0.675 per 1,000 emails.
Can ThriveCart host courses and communities?
Yes. ThriveCart Academy hosts courses with quizzes, certificates and video streaming, plus branded community hubs. The Standard plan includes Academy Starter with up to 2,000 community members, and higher plans raise that. HighLevel also runs courses, memberships and communities, with a branded community app sold as a $49 a month add-on per sub-account.
Which is better for a small agency?
HighLevel, in most cases. ThriveCart is built for a seller running their own checkouts and courses, and its site lists no client sub-accounts or reseller program. HighLevel's $297 Unlimited plan covers unlimited client sub-accounts with CRM, funnels, email, texting and calling, and agencies can rebill phone and email usage to clients at cost.
