What a HighLevel website includes
Pages are built from sections, rows, columns and elements, with separate review of desktop and mobile layouts. HighLevel positions websites for business homepages, service pages, contact pages and content, where visitors move around freely rather than through fixed steps. Each page takes a title, meta description and other SEO settings, and custom code can add tracking or styling. The help center also covers brand boards for consistent colors and fonts, custom fonts, a customizable 404 page, nested URL paths, animations, QR code elements and manually added schema markup, so most small business site needs are covered without a plugin.
The blog
Blogs sit inside the same system. Posts need a URL slug, category, author, title and description, and support SEO titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, keywords and a cover image with alt text. Posts can be drafted, scheduled or published, imported from URLs or CSV files, or generated with AI, and a blog sitemap is available. There are real limits: custom values, forms, surveys and custom code cannot be placed inside a post, and separate category-specific blog pages are not supported yet. Switching a blog's domain means removing the existing domain first.
Domains and AI search files
You can connect a root domain or subdomain you already own, or buy one inside HighLevel, where the price varies by name and extension. Agencies that want clients to pay for domains can rebill the cost with a markup, but HighLevel's domain article ties client purchases to sub-accounts in SaaS Mode, which is an Agency Pro feature. Each connected domain can also publish an llms.txt file at the root: a Markdown summary of the site for AI crawlers. HighLevel says it helps pass the PageSpeed Insights agentic browsing audit, but it does not update itself when pages change.
Website, funnel or WordPress?
Choose the native website builder for brochure sites and local service businesses where speed of building and CRM connection matter most. Choose a funnel when a page exists to drive one conversion and you want split testing, which websites lack.
