The short answer
Connect your Google Business Profile or Facebook page, set your review link, then send requests from the Reviews section with Send Review Request over SMS, email or WhatsApp. To automate it, add the Review Request action to a workflow that runs after a job or appointment. New sub-accounts also get a guided six-step review setup wizard.
Connect review sites and set the link
New sub-accounts show a Guided Review Setup Wizard on the Reputation Management overview page until setup is finished. It sends you to Integrations to connect Google Business Profile or Facebook, then to Settings, Review Link to confirm the link customers will receive. Later steps switch on Reviews AI for replies, create a review widget for your website and connect more platforms such as Yelp or TripAdvisor where available. The wizard does not come back once finished, but every step can be reached manually. Reviews AI is optional; on pay per use it costs $0.01 per AI-assisted reply sent, and suggestions are free.
Send a request by hand
Open the Reviews section and click Send Review Request. Tick SMS, Email and WhatsApp in any combination and edit the default message for each channel. Each channel needs the matching detail on the contact: a phone number for SMS, an email address, or a WhatsApp-enabled number. If a detail is missing, HighLevel sends through the channels it can. Review the message and click Send; reporting then shows sent, opened and clicked requests by channel. Texts cost $0.00747 per segment plus carrier fees and need A2P registration on US local numbers, and WhatsApp is $10 a month per sub-account plus Meta's message rates.
Automate it with a workflow
Add the Review Request action to a workflow and choose the review type, such as email. The message itself comes from the reputation settings, not from the action. HighLevel's example pairs the action with an appointment trigger, and a short wait so the request lands after the visit rather than during it is a sensible addition. Ask every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy: Google's policy for reviews on Maps bars businesses from selectively soliciting positive reviews, and the FTC says that practice could violate the FTC Act even though its 2024 review rule does not ban it outright.
