The short answer
HighLevel's largest shareholders are its three co-founders, Shaun Clark, Varun Vairavan and Robin Alex, who started the company in 2018. That is how the April 2024 announcement of a minority investment from General Atlantic describes them. PeakEquity Partners is also a shareholder with a board seat. The platform is operated by HighLevel LLC, a subsidiary of GoHighLevel Inc.
The founders
HighLevel's about page names Shaun Clark, Varun Vairavan and Robin Alex as co-founders and dates the company to 2018. The 2024 investment announcement gives their roles as Shaun Clark, co-founder and CEO; Varun Vairavan, co-founder and CTO; and Robin Alex, co-founder and COO, and says they remain in their leadership roles. The about page also lists other executives, including a chief product officer, a chief people officer and a chief legal officer.
Investors
On April 11, 2024, HighLevel announced a minority growth investment from General Atlantic without disclosing the amount or the valuation. A minority investment means the investor holds less than half of the company. The release says existing investor PeakEquity Partners would remain an active shareholder and keep its board seat, and that HighLevel had grown more than five times over the previous three years while staying profitable. We found no later funding round or sale announced on HighLevel's own pages.
Legal entities you will see
The footer on HighLevel's site reads HighLevel LLC, a subsidiary of GoHighLevel Inc. HighLevel LLC is the company named in the Terms of Service, while the investment announcement refers to HighLevel Inc. Charges for texts and calls fall under separate terms from LeadConnector, LLC, and LeadConnector is listed as a HighLevel trademark. HighLevel does not publish a shareholder list or financial statements on its website, so ownership details beyond the founders and these two investors are not public there.
