The short answer

GoHighLevel Content AI is the writing and image tool built into HighLevel's editors. In the Social Planner it drafts posts from platform-aware questions and generates images; in the email builder it writes body text, button copy and subject lines; it also helps with blog outlines, and it follows a saved Brand Voice across social, blogs, email and funnels and websites. On pay per use it costs $0.063 per image and $0.0945 per 1,000 words. AI Employee Growth ($50) and Unlimited ($97) make it unlimited for that sub-account. It does not produce video, animations or GIFs.

Where Content AI shows up

Content AI is not a separate app. It appears as a button or panel in the places where people already write, which is why staff can use it without training. Pricing is the same wherever it runs, per 1,000 words for text and per image for pictures, charged to the sub-account where the content was made. It shows up in these places:

  • Social Planner: guided questions that change with the chosen platform and content type, quick edits, and an Ask AI box for custom instructions such as a different tone or a longer post
  • Social Planner images: descriptions turned into images, with 1 to 5 variations at a time
  • Email builder: text blocks, button text and subject lines, with contexts such as promotional, newsletter, testimonial or cold outreach and a choice of tone
  • Blogs: outlines for new posts
  • Funnels and websites: copy that follows the saved Brand Voice

Brand Voice

Brand Voice stores a brand's tone, target audience, purpose, unique selling point and customer pain points, and Content AI applies it to what it writes in the Social Planner, blogs, the email builder and funnels and websites. A toggle turns it on or off per session, and settings such as tone can be overridden for a single piece. HighLevel publishes no limit on how many Brand Voices an account can save, so an agency can keep one per client. Spend ten minutes on the pain points field: it is what makes generated copy sound like the client instead of a generic small business.

Image generation

Images come from a written description, in styles that include photo, film, dreamlike, digital art, poster, vector, colorful, 3D models, pastel art, sketch and color pencil. Each request can return one to five variations, and each image costs $0.063 on pay per use, so asking for five variations costs about 32 cents. HighLevel notes that the generator cannot make animations or GIFs and can struggle with metaphors, so literal descriptions work better than clever ones. For client work, check generated images for odd hands, text and logos before posting, since those are where image models most often go wrong.

What it costs for a typical client

Content AI is cheap on pay per use. A client posting 30 social posts a month at around 150 words each generates about 4,500 words, roughly $0.43, and 30 images add $1.89. Even with drafts that get thrown away, a month of content rarely passes a few dollars. That is why AI Employee Growth or Unlimited should be chosen for their Conversation AI replies and Voice AI minutes, with unlimited Content AI as a side benefit. HighLevel keeps a record of past Content AI generations, which helps when a client asks to reuse something written weeks ago.

Content AI, Ask AI or AI Studio

The three overlap, so it helps to know which to open. Content AI works inside a single editor on one piece at a time: a post, an email, a blog outline. Ask AI is the platform-wide copilot that can draft content too, but also creates blog posts, generates and edits images, runs bulk actions and pulls reports, asking for approval before it changes anything. AI Studio builds whole pages and websites from a prompt. For a quick caption or subject line, Content AI is the fastest; for a campaign that spans email, social and a landing page, Ask AI or AI Studio does more in one go.

Questions

Is GoHighLevel Content AI free?
Not on its own. Pay per use costs $0.0945 per 1,000 words and $0.063 per image, charged to the sub-account. It becomes unlimited when the sub-account is on AI Employee Growth at $50 a month or AI Employee Unlimited at $97 a month. For light use, pay per use usually costs a few dollars a month.
Can Content AI write blog posts in GoHighLevel?
Content AI creates blog post outlines inside the blog editor and applies the saved Brand Voice. For full drafts, HighLevel also offers AI blog creation and Ask AI, which can generate SEO-focused blog posts. Treat any draft as a starting point and add the client's own expertise, examples and facts before publishing.
Does Content AI write in my brand's style?
Yes, if you set up a Brand Voice with the brand's tone, audience, purpose, selling point and customer pain points. Content AI applies it in the Social Planner, blogs, email builder and funnels and websites. You can switch Brand Voice off for a session or override the tone for a single piece.
Can Content AI make videos or GIFs?
No. HighLevel's Content AI image article says it cannot create animations or GIFs, and it generates still images only, in styles such as photo, digital art, vector or 3D. Each request returns one to five variations at $0.063 per image on pay per use.
