The short answer
GoHighLevel for bars works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single bar fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $146 a month. An agency running ten bars on Unlimited pays about $79 per business.
Bars get calls at the worst possible moments: Friday at 10 pm, trivia night, the start of a big game. Callers ask whether there is a cover, if the kitchen is still open, whether they can reserve a section for a birthday, or if the game will be on with sound. A bartender working a crowded bar cannot step away to answer. Private event and group inquiries, which fill slow nights, get lost the same way, and regulars rarely hear about next week's events unless they follow the bar online.
Why bars miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical bar has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Reserving a table or section for a group
- Private events and buyouts
- Cover charge and dress code
- Kitchen hours and happy hour times
- Whether a game will be shown
- Trivia, live music and event schedule
- Lost items
Five workflows to build first
- Group reservation requestsBirthday and group requests collect the date, headcount and budget, then go to the manager for approval. Once approved, the guest gets a confirmation with house rules and the minimum spend.
- Private event pipelineBuyout and holiday party inquiries become opportunities with date, headcount and package. A proposal and agreement go out through Documents & Contracts, and a deposit invoice follows the signature.
- Weekly event textOpted-in regulars get one text a week with trivia, live music and game day plans. The signup form asks for date of birth, and drink offers only go to contacts aged 21 or over.
- Missed call during the rushCalls that ring out on busy nights get a text with tonight's hours, kitchen close time, the evening's event and the group booking link.
- Event host follow-upPrivate event hosts get a thank-you and a review link the next day, plus a note about booking next year's party. Reviews AI can suggest replies to new reviews for the manager to post.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.13 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for bars.
Rules to watch
Age 21 in marketing. The minimum legal drinking age in the United States is 21, so drink promotions should only reach adults. Ask for date of birth on text and email signups, keep under-21 contacts out of drink offers, and have the AI avoid promoting drink specials to any caller who says they are underage.
Texting drink specials. Happy hour and event texts are commercial messages, and the FCC says those need written consent. States also regulate how alcohol is advertised in different ways, so check with your state alcohol regulator before starting a drink special campaign.
General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.
Software bars often use
Toast, Square, TouchBistro, SevenRooms, OpenTable. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.
Which plan
One bar fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many bars should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
