The short answer
GoHighLevel for food trucks works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single food truck business fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $137 a month. An agency running ten food trucks on Unlimited pays about $69 per business.
A food truck owner is cooking, taking orders at the window and watching the line at the same time, so the phone mostly goes unanswered. Yet the calls matter: people want to know where the truck is parked today, and event hosts want to book it for weddings, office parties and brewery nights, which can be the most profitable days of the month. When a booking inquiry goes to voicemail, the host books the next truck on their list, and loyal fans never hear where the truck will be next week.
Why food trucks miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical food truck business has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Where the truck is parked today
- Private event and catering bookings
- Brewery and office park bookings
- Menu and prices
- Minimum spend for an event
- Dietary options
Five workflows to build first
- Event booking pipelineBooking requests collect the date, address, guest count and whether the host covers a minimum or guests pay individually. They move through pipeline stages to a signed agreement and deposit, with a reminder text to the host the day before.
- Weekly location textEvery Monday, fans who opted in get a text with the week's stops as a scheduled broadcast. Social Planner can post the same schedule to the truck's social accounts at the same time.
- Missed call reply during serviceCalls during service get a text back with today's location, hours and a link to the event booking form, so both kinds of callers get what they needed without the owner leaving the window.
- Brewery and venue partnersBreweries and office parks that host the truck regularly sit in their own pipeline and get a monthly scheduling email with a short form to pick dates, which keeps slow weekdays filled.
- Post-event rebookingThe day after a private event, the host gets a thank-you with a review request and a form to rebook next year. Hosts who rebook are tagged for first pick of holiday dates.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.13 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for food trucks.
Rules to watch
Location texts are marketing. A text telling fans where to buy lunch today is a commercial message, and the FCC says commercial texts need written consent. Collect it through a signup form with clear wording, and never text numbers gathered from card receipts or an event host's guest list.
Permits are the owner's call. Where a truck may park and serve is set by city and county rules, so the AI should never tell an event host their site is approved. Have the owner confirm permits, parking and power for each private event before it is marked booked.

Which plan
One food truck business fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many food trucks should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
