The short answer

GoHighLevel for hotels works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single hotel fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $249 a month. An agency running ten hotels on Unlimited pays about $182 per business.

Independent hotels compete with online travel agencies for every booking, and a phone call is one of the few moments a guest can be steered to book direct. But the front desk is checking in guests, handling a late arrival or running the night audit, and the phone rings out. Callers ask about rates, parking, pets, accessible rooms and group blocks. A missed call can end as a booking through a travel site, with a commission the hotel could have kept.

Why hotels miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical hotel has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Room rates and availability
  • Accessible room features
  • Parking, pets and early check-in
  • Group blocks for weddings or teams
  • Changing or canceling a reservation
  • Meeting space and events
  • Breakfast, shuttle and other amenities

Five workflows to build first

  1. Direct booking follow-upCallers who ask about rates but do not book get a text with the direct booking link and the hotel's rate policy. A second message the next day covers the parking or breakfast details they asked about.
  2. Pre-arrival messageTwo days before check-in, guests whose stay dates are in HighLevel get a text with parking directions, check-in time and an option to request early check-in. Replies land in the front desk's shared inbox.
  3. Group block pipelineWedding and sports team block requests become opportunities with dates, room count and rate. A block agreement goes out for e-signature, and the organizer gets reminders as the cutoff date approaches.
  4. Post-stay review requestThe day after checkout, every guest gets the same email asking about their stay with a review link. Reviews AI can suggest replies to new reviews for the manager to approve.
  5. Returning guest offerPast guests who opted in get an email before their usual travel season with a direct booking link and a perk such as free parking, giving them a reason to skip the travel sites.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

What it costs

Our assumptions for a typical hotel: 900 calls a month answered by Voice AI at 3 minutes each, 1,500 text segments and 5,000 emails. These are starting points, not measured data.

Line One hotel on Starter Agency, 10 on Unlimited (per business)

Phone minutes for AI calls $31.46 $31.46
Email $3.38 $3.38
Voice AI (AI Employee Unlimited ($97)) $97.00 $97.00
Total per month $249 $182

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.14 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for hotels.

Rules to watch

Accessible room reservations. ADA regulations require places of lodging to let guests reserve accessible rooms by any means, including by telephone, during the same hours and in the same manner as other rooms, and to describe accessible features in enough detail. An AI receptionist is part of that channel, so give it full accessible room details.

Quote total prices. The FTC's fees rule, in effect since May 12, 2025, requires short-term lodging offers to show the total price, including mandatory fees such as resort or amenity fees, more prominently than other pricing. Taxes can come later. Train the AI to include mandatory fees whenever it quotes a rate.

No card numbers by voice. PCI guidance says card security codes must not be stored after authorization. The AI should text the booking engine link so the guest guarantees the room with a card online, rather than reading card details into a recorded, transcribed call.

Cloudbeds, Mews, Oracle OPERA, SiteMinder, Little Hotelier, Booking.com. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One hotel fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many hotels should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

How much does GoHighLevel cost for a hotel?
About $249 a month on our assumptions: the Starter plan at $97, and usage for 900 AI-answered calls, 1,500 texts and 5,000 emails. Change the numbers in the calculator to match your hotel.
Can GoHighLevel replace a hotel property management system?
No. HighLevel's features do not include room inventory, rate management, housekeeping or guest folios, which Cloudbeds, Mews or OPERA handle. Hotels use it alongside the PMS for direct booking campaigns, group sales pipelines, guest messaging, review requests and email marketing to past guests.
How can a hotel use HighLevel to win more direct bookings?
Capture guest emails at every stay, then send seasonal offers with a direct booking link and a perk like free parking. Text missed callers the booking link. Track which campaigns produce bookings by giving each one its own link or promo code in your booking engine.
Can HighLevel manage group sales for a hotel?
Yes, it suits group sales well. Wedding, sports and corporate block requests become opportunities with dates, room nights and value. Agreements go out for e-signature through Documents & Contracts, and workflows remind organizers about the cutoff date so unsold rooms return to inventory on time.
Which HighLevel plan does an independent hotel need?
Starter at $97 a month is enough for one hotel, and a small group with up to three properties can run each in its own sub-account on Starter. Management companies with more properties would look at Unlimited at $297 a month for unlimited sub-accounts.
