The short answer
GoHighLevel for ecommerce brands works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single ecommerce brand fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $223 a month. An agency running ten ecommerce brands on Unlimited pays about $156 per business.
Online stores get more phone calls than their owners expect, and most concern orders already placed: where is my package, can I change the size, how do I return this. Those calls peak after promotions and in the evening, when a small team is packing orders or offline. Unanswered, they turn into chargebacks, one-star reviews and lost repeat buyers. Meanwhile the revenue work, winning back cart abandoners and past customers by text and email, competes for the same few hours.
Why ecommerce brands miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical ecommerce brand has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Where is my order
- Changing an address or size before shipping
- Starting a return or exchange
- Sizing, materials or ingredient questions
- Promo code not working at checkout
- Wholesale or bulk order inquiry
- Item arrived damaged
Five workflows to build first
- Unfinished checkout follow-upWhen a shopper who entered their email at checkout does not complete the purchase, they get an email after an hour and, if they opted in to marketing texts, a text the next morning linking back to the product. A purchase stops the sequence.
- Post-delivery review requestSeven days after delivery, customers get a text asking how the product worked out, with a link to leave a review. Every buyer gets the same message and no incentive is tied to a positive rating.
- Winback for lapsed buyersCustomers whose last order date is more than 90 days old receive an email showing new arrivals in the category they bought, followed by a text a week later if they opted in to texts.
- Wholesale lead pipelineWholesale inquiry forms ask for store name, location and expected order size, create an opportunity in a wholesale pipeline, and email the buyer your line sheet automatically.
- Delivery problem follow-upWhen support tags a contact 'damaged' or 'lost', a workflow texts the customer the replacement timeline and creates a task to confirm the replacement shipped within two days.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for ecommerce brands.
Rules to watch
Shipping promises on phone orders. The FTC's Mail, Internet or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule covers phone and online orders. You need a reasonable basis for any shipping time you state, or for shipping within 30 days if you state none, and you must offer cancellation and a refund when you cannot ship on time. Times given on a call count, so the AI should quote only your written policy.
Marketing texts need consent. FCC rules bar autodialed texts to mobile phones without prior consent, and consent must be in writing when the message is an advertisement. Collect SMS marketing consent separately at checkout, keep a record of it, and honor opt-outs made in any reasonable way.
Reviews. The FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule bans fake reviews and incentives conditioned on positive sentiment. A discount offered only to customers who say they loved the product is out; a neutral request sent to every buyer avoids that problem.

Which plan
One ecommerce brand fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many ecommerce brands should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
