The short answer
GoHighLevel for pest control companies works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single pest control company fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $174 a month. An agency running ten pest control companies on Unlimited pays about $107 per business.
Pest control calls come with feelings attached. A parent who saw a mouse in the pantry, a homeowner who found wings on the windowsill, a family stung at the back door: each wants someone to answer and say when help is coming. Most calls are simple to book, but recurring-service companies also field a steady stream of reschedules, "the bugs came back" calls and cancellation requests. When those land in voicemail, new jobs slip away and existing customers quietly cancel.
Why pest control companies miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical pest control company has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Ants, roaches or spiders inside
- Mice or rats in the home or garage
- Termite inspection, including for a home sale
- Wasp or hornet nest near a door
- Bed bugs
- Mosquito treatment for the yard
- Pests came back after the last service
Five workflows to build first
- Quarterly service remindersRecurring customers get a text two days before each visit with the date and a note to leave the gate open and bring pets inside. A reply of 'R' starts a reschedule conversation instead of a phone call to the office.
- Re-service request intakeWhen a customer texts or calls that pests are back, the workflow checks their plan tag, books a free re-treatment if the plan includes one and alerts the route technician. A complaint becomes a scheduled fix.
- Termite inspections for home salesReal estate agents and buyers get a fast booking path for wood-destroying insect inspections, with the report date and invoice sent in the same thread. Agents who book once join a referral nurture list.
- Cancellation saveWhen a customer asks to cancel, the workflow creates a task for a person to call within a day and sends a short text asking what went wrong. Customers who leave anyway get a single win-back message before next season.
- Review request after the first serviceNew customers get a review request after their first visit, while results are fresh. Everyone gets the same message, and no incentive is tied to what they write.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for pest control companies.
Rules to watch
Applicator certification. Federal law requires anyone who applies or supervises restricted use pesticides to be certified, and EPA notes that many states require certification for all commercial pesticide application. Your AI should not name products, suggest do-it-yourself treatments or answer chemical safety questions; those go to a certified technician.
Door-to-door sales and the Cooling-Off Rule. Plenty of pest control companies sell service plans door to door in summer. The FTC's Cooling-Off Rule gives buyers three business days to cancel many sales made at their home. When customers who signed at the door call to cancel, the AI should route the request to a person promptly.
Revoked consent for texts. Keep service-reminder consent and marketing consent as separate fields. FCC rules let consumers revoke consent to robotexts by any reasonable method, so a reply like 'please stop texting me' should end automated messages even when it isn't the exact keyword.
General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.
Software pest control companies often use
PestPac, FieldRoutes, GorillaDesk, Briostack, Jobber. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.
Which plan
One pest control company fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many pest control companies should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
