The short answer
GoHighLevel for remodelers works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single remodeling company fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $139 a month. An agency running ten remodelers on Unlimited pays about $72 per business.
Remodeling leads are expensive and slow to close. A kitchen or bathroom project can take months from first call to signed contract, and the first call often comes from a homeowner who is unsure of the budget, the timeline or even what they want. Remodelers who pick up, qualify gently and stay in touch win those jobs; the ones who return calls a week later find the homeowner has already met two other contractors. Once work starts, the calls turn to schedules, selections and change orders.
Why remodelers miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical remodeling company has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Kitchen remodel
- Bathroom remodel
- Basement finishing
- Home addition
- What a project might cost
- When work could start
- Update on a project in progress
Five workflows to build first
- Project pre-qualificationNew leads get a short form covering project type, rough budget range, timeline and whether they own the home. Leads that fit get a consultation link; others get a helpful email and stay on a nurture list.
- Design consultation bookingQualified leads book a consultation on the designer's calendar, get a reminder listing what to bring (inspiration photos, measurements, budget) and a text an hour before.
- Proposal follow-upAfter the consultation, the proposal goes out with a video walkthrough link and reminders over two weeks. Stalled proposals trigger a call task for a person instead of more automated messages.
- Weekly project updatesDuring construction, clients get a Friday text summarizing progress, next week's plan and any selections due. It cuts the calls asking what is happening on site.
- Post-project review and referralA month after completion, once punch-list items are closed, clients get a review request and a separate referral ask. Both go to every client.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.40 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for remodelers.
Rules to watch
Lead-safe renovation. Under EPA's RRP Rule, firms paid to disturb painted surfaces in homes built before 1978 must be certified and use trained workers. Kitchen and bath demolition in older homes often disturbs paint, so the AI should record the build year and pass it to the estimator.
Contracts signed at home. The FTC tells homeowners that a contract signed at home should include a written right to cancel within three business days, and to check the contractor's license with the state or county. Put your license number in the AI's knowledge base and keep cancellation requests with a person.
Consent for long nurture sequences. Months of follow-up by text need the lead's consent on record, and every message should allow an opt-out. If a lead revokes consent in any reasonable way, FCC rules say the automated texts stop.
General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.
Software remodelers often use
Buildertrend, JobTread, Houzz Pro, CompanyCam, QuickBooks. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.
Which plan
One remodeling company fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many remodelers should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
