The short answer

GoHighLevel for roofers works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single roofing company fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $163 a month. An agency running ten roofers on Unlimited pays about $96 per business.

Roofing leads arrive in waves. After a hailstorm the phone rings all day with homeowners who found granules in the gutters or a new stain on the ceiling, and a roofer out on inspections misses most of them. Between storms the challenge is patience: replacement jobs take weeks of inspections, adjuster meetings and financing questions, and homeowners go quiet while they collect other bids. The roofer who keeps answering during the rush and keeps following up afterward signs more of those jobs.

Why roofers miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical roofing company has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Active leak or a water stain on a ceiling
  • Hail or wind damage after a storm
  • Free inspection request
  • Questions about an insurance claim
  • Full replacement estimate
  • Missing shingles or flashing repair
  • Gutter work

Five workflows to build first

  1. Storm surge intakeWhen a storm hits your area, switch on a workflow that texts every new caller and form lead asking for the address and a photo of any damage. Leads land in a storm pipeline ordered by date, so inspectors work the list in sequence.
  2. Inspection booking and remindersInspections go on the inspector's calendar with a reminder the day before and a text when the inspector heads to the house. Homeowners who can't be present get instructions for side-yard or attic access.
  3. Insurance claim status updatesOnce a homeowner files a claim, the opportunity moves through stages such as claim filed, adjuster meeting, approved and scheduled. Each stage change sends a short text, so the homeowner knows where things stand without calling the office.
  4. Estimate follow-up over several weeksReplacement estimates get a sequence: the proposal link, a reminder with shingle color options and a check-in after ten days. After three weeks without a reply, the lead moves to a long-term nurture list instead of being dropped.
  5. Review and referral requestAfter final payment, the homeowner gets a review request and, a week later, a text asking whether any neighbors had storm damage. Every customer gets both, and no reward depends on the review being positive.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

What it costs

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.32 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for roofers.

Rules to watch

Storm season sales practices. The FTC warns homeowners about contractors who push them to sign right away for a discount, ask them to sign over the insurance check or demand full payment up front. Keep those tactics out of your AI prompt and follow-up texts, and have the AI state your license and insurance details when asked.

Three-day right to cancel. The FTC Cooling-Off Rule gives buyers three business days to cancel many sales made at their home, and the FTC says contracts signed at home should state that right in writing. Some emergency and requested repairs are excluded. If crews sign contracts at kitchen tables after a storm, the notice belongs in the paperwork.

Canvassing lists and automated calls. A door-knock sign-up sheet is not a record of consent for AI calls. The FCC treats AI-generated voices as artificial under the TCPA, so outbound Voice AI follow-up needs prior express consent, and written consent when the call markets your services.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

Which plan

One roofing company fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many roofers should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

Can GoHighLevel replace AccuLynx or JobNimbus for a roofer?
For many roofers it sits beside them instead. AccuLynx and JobNimbus are roofing production tools, with job files, material orders and crew scheduling. HighLevel covers the front end: answering and texting leads, booking inspections, following up on estimates and collecting reviews. Smaller crews sometimes run everything in HighLevel pipelines, so list the production features you need first.
How do roofers use GoHighLevel after a storm?
Mostly for speed and order. Missed-call text back, a form that collects the address and photos, a storm pipeline sorted by date, and texts to past customers in affected ZIP codes who agreed to marketing messages. HighLevel's round robin calendars can split inspections between several inspectors.
What does GoHighLevel cost a roofing company?
The software is $97 a month on Starter, or $970 billed yearly. Usage comes on top: a local number is $1.15 a month, each text segment about three-quarters of a cent plus carrier fees, and email $0.675 per thousand. A storm month with heavy texting costs more in usage than a quiet one.
Can a roofer track which yard signs and ads bring in jobs?
Yes. Give each campaign its own tracking number or landing page, and HighLevel records the source on the contact. Pipelines then show which sources became signed jobs, not just calls. Keep numbers on yard signs unchanged once printed, because retiring them strands leads who call later.
