The short answer
Cancel from the agency account: open Settings, then Billing, click "Want to modify/cancel your subscription?", then Show More and Cancel Plan. Pick a reason, confirm the data loss warning, write at least 30 words of feedback and submit. HighLevel's Terms of Service also accept cancellation by support ticket or by calling (888) 732-4197. You remain responsible for fees incurred until the cancellation goes through.
The steps in the app
If the cancel option does not appear, HighLevel's billing FAQ says to contact support through the blue question mark icon inside the app. If you bought access through another agency rather than directly from HighLevel, that agency's administrator has to make the change for you. Take a screenshot of the final confirmation and keep any email HighLevel sends, because billing disputes go to its billing team and they ask for account and payment details.
- Open Agency Settings and select Billing
- Click "Want to modify/cancel your subscription?" and then Show More
- Select Cancel Plan, choose a reason and click Next
- Read the data loss warning and click "I am sure I want to cancel"
- Write the feedback HighLevel asks for (at least 30 words) and click Submit
Before you click cancel
Export what you want to keep first: HighLevel lists contacts, conversations, calendars, funnels, automations and financial records. Canceled account data is kept for 90 days, but sub-accounts lose access straight away. Phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted 14 days after cancellation and are still billed until then. Ask for any wallet balance back, because the Terms say money left in the wallet more than 30 days after cancellation becomes HighLevel's. Check the reselling subscriptions list under Billing as well, since per sub-account products are canceled there one by one.
Canceling during the free trial
The steps are the same during the 14 day trial, but the timing matters more. HighLevel's pricing page says billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled, and the Terms say subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancel a day or two before the trial ends rather than in its final hours. Texts, calls, phone numbers and AI you used during the trial may already have been charged to your card through the wallet, and canceling does not reverse those charges.
Options if you might come back
If you expect to return within a few months, the Pause Account plan at $27 a month keeps core data such as contacts, funnels and workflows while access is off. If you only need fewer client accounts, downgrading from Unlimited or Agency Pro to Starter may be enough; HighLevel's billing FAQ says to review the lower plan's sub-account limits first. A canceled account can also be reactivated from the billing screen within the 90 day retention window, sometimes on a lower tier without contacting support.
