The short answer

Yes, for $27 a month. HighLevel's Pause Account plan lets an agency stop using the platform while keeping core data such as contacts, conversations, funnels and workflows. Access is shut off for you and your sub-accounts, published funnels and workflows move to draft, and phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted after 14 days. To come back, you pay for a full plan again.

How to switch to the Pause Account plan

HighLevel's help article uses the same menu as upgrades and cancellations. In Agency View, go to Settings, then Billing, click "Want to Modify/Cancel Your Subscription?" and choose the Pause Account option. The plan costs $27 a month and is meant for agency users who temporarily do not need an active subscription. HighLevel's billing FAQ says agency accounts cannot be paused or placed on hold, and it points to the $27 Pause Plan as the way to keep your data instead of canceling.

To resume, sign in and complete payment on the reactivation screen; HighLevel says the account becomes active immediately. The article does not give a maximum length for a pause. After resuming, check that your funnels and workflows are published again and budget time to buy numbers and redo A2P registration if the pause ran past 14 days.

What a pause keeps and what it loses

The expensive part of pausing is the phone setup. Once numbers and A2P registrations are gone, texting again means new numbers, new registration fees and a new review. HighLevel's Terms of Service also say that if an account is paused for more than 30 days while HighLevel still carries third-party costs for you, such as holding a phone number, it may release that number or delete some or all of the account.

  • Kept: contacts, conversations, tasks, opportunities, calendars, email templates, media, products, orders, payment settings and transaction history
  • Kept but moved to draft: published funnel pages and workflows
  • Deleted after 14 days: phone numbers and A2P registrations
  • Canceled automatically: marketplace and reselling subscriptions
  • Other effects: domain renewals fail, and sub-account users cannot log in

Pausing one client sub-account is different

Agency admins can also pause individual sub-accounts, but that feature exists for SaaS clients who stop paying: the client loses access until payment is made. HighLevel's article on it does not say that pausing a sub-account lowers your own bill, and on the Unlimited and Agency Pro plans the subscription does not change with the number of sub-accounts anyway. If you only need to stop paying for one client's add-ons, cancel those reselling subscriptions from the agency billing page, where you can end them at the end of the billing cycle or immediately.
