Prompt tips

  1. Tip 1Write your state's official tint numbers for each window into the knowledge base with the source page, and tell the AI to quote them exactly and add nothing.

Rules to watch

State tint limits differ. Each state sets light transmission limits window by window. Texas, for example, requires front side window film to let through at least 25 percent of light with reflectance of 25 percent or less, while New York requires front side windows to pass at least 70 percent. Keep the AI's legal answers to your state's official numbers.

Medical exemptions. Some states allow darker tint with a medical exemption. Texas requires a signed statement from a licensed physician or optometrist, and New York uses an application, form MV-80W, for qualifying conditions. The AI should explain that a process exists and send eligibility questions to staff.

Yes, if you load your state's official limits and keep them current. The AI should quote the numbers exactly for each window, mention that medical exemptions exist, and never suggest a darker shade will pass. A wrong answer can cost a customer a ticket or a failed inspection, which tends to land back on the shop.
What does an AI receptionist cost a window tint shop?
