The short answer
GoHighLevel for DJs works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single DJ business fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $120 a month. An agency running ten DJs on Unlimited pays about $53 per business.
A mobile DJ plays most weekends and spends weekdays at a day job, in client meetings or prepping gear, so inquiries arrive when nobody can pick up. Couples, schools and companies usually want three answers fast: are you free on my date, what does it cost and what is included. A DJ who takes a day to reply often loses the gig to one who answered first. After booking comes planning: must-play songs, do-not-play lists, timelines and final payments, all traded through scattered texts.
Why DJs miss leads
These are the calls and messages a typical DJ business has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:
- Availability for a wedding or party date
- Package prices and hours
- Uplighting and photo booth add-ons
- School dances and corporate events
- Ceremony sound and microphones
- Song requests and do-not-play lists
Five workflows to build first
- Instant quote replyInquiries by form or phone get an instant text with starting packages and a consult booking link. Each lead enters a pipeline by event type, so school dances and weddings get different follow-ups.
- Contract and depositOnce the client picks a package, a contract goes out for e-signature with add-ons like uplighting listed. Signing routes the client to the deposit invoice, and the date is marked booked on the calendar.
- Music planning formSix weeks before the event, the client gets a planning form for the first dance, key songs, the do-not-play list and the timeline. Reminders continue until the form is submitted.
- Final balance reminderTen days before the event, the balance invoice goes out with a text-to-pay link, and a second reminder follows three days out if it is still unpaid.
- Venue relationship follow-upAfter each wedding, the couple gets a review request and the venue coordinator gets a thank-you note, which helps keep the DJ on the venue's preferred vendor list.
HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist
Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for DJs.
Rules to watch
Honest reviews only. The FTC's reviews rule, effective October 21, 2024, covers fake and manipulated reviews. Ask every client for a review the same way, never write reviews on a client's behalf or have friends post them, and do not tie any perk to a five-star rating.
Consent for promo texts. Texting past clients about open dates or holiday party specials is marketing, and the FCC says commercial texts need written consent. Add a consent checkbox to the contract or planning form, and keep promotions apart from event logistics texts.

Software DJs often use
DJ Event Planner, HoneyBook, Dubsado, GigSalad, The Bash, Serato. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.
Which plan
One DJ business fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many DJs should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.
