The short answer

GoHighLevel for estate planning attorneys works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single estate planning firm fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $153 a month. An agency running ten estate planning attorneys on Unlimited pays about $86 per business.

Estate planning firms hear from people who have meant to write a will for years, adult children worried about an aging parent, and families who just lost someone and do not know where to start. These calls are rarely emergencies, but they are easy to lose: a prospect who does not get a quick reply puts the project off again. Intake has to explain the firm's packages and fees clearly, and notice when the real client is not the person on the phone.

Why estate planning attorneys miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical estate planning firm has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Will or living trust
  • Power of attorney and health care directive
  • Planning for an aging parent
  • Probate after a death
  • Updating an old plan
  • Flat fee pricing questions
  • Trust funding or administration

Five workflows to build first

  1. Seminar and webinar registrationSeminar and webinar sign-ups get confirmation and reminder texts, and attendees receive a follow-up with a consultation link, while people who registered but missed it get a replay offer instead.
  2. Questionnaire before the design meetingAfter booking, the prospect receives a questionnaire about family, assets and goals, with reminders, so the design meeting starts with facts instead of paperwork.
  3. Signing meeting remindersWhen documents are ready, clients get a booking link for the signing meeting and a reminder to bring ID, which keeps plans from stalling at the final step.
  4. Plan review remindersClients receive a note every few years, or after a life event they report, inviting them to review their plan, since marriages, births and moves can leave documents out of date.
  5. Probate inquiry pathCalls about a recent death go to a separate pipeline with a gentler message sequence and a booking link, kept well away from planning promotions.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

What it costs

Our assumptions for a typical estate planning firm: 150 calls a month answered by Voice AI at 4 minutes each, 300 text segments and 3,000 emails. These are starting points, not measured data.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.32 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for estate planning attorneys.

Rules to watch

Who the client is. When a relative arranges a plan for someone else, the attorney must identify the client and work with them directly. Model Rule 1.8(f) limits accepting payment from someone other than the client, and Rule 1.7 covers conflicts, such as spouses planning together. Staff and attorneys resolve these questions, not the AI.

Clients with decision-making limitations. ABA Model Rule 1.14 addresses clients whose decision-making may be limited and when a lawyer may take protective action. If a caller mentions dementia, memory problems or pressure from family, the AI should record it without comment and flag the inquiry for the attorney.

Prospective clients and seminar marketing. Model Rule 1.18 keeps prospective client information confidential even if the firm declines, and Rule 7.1 bars misleading claims about services. Keep seminar invitations and AI descriptions of packages factual, and avoid blanket promises about avoiding probate or taxes.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

WealthCounsel, Clio, Lawmatics, Smokeball. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One estate planning firm fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many estate planning attorneys should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

How much does GoHighLevel cost for a estate planning firm?
About $153 a month on our assumptions: the Starter plan at $97, and usage for 150 AI-answered calls, 300 texts and 3,000 emails. Change the numbers in the calculator to match your estate planning firm.
How can estate planning attorneys use GoHighLevel for seminars?
HighLevel can host registration pages, send confirmations and reminders by text and email, and follow up with attendees afterward with a consultation link. Webinar funnels are among its listed features. Tag attendance so follow-up differs for people who came and people who registered but missed it.
Can GoHighLevel manage the steps from consultation to signing?
Yes. A pipeline with stages such as Consultation Booked, Questionnaire Received, Design Meeting, Drafting and Signing Scheduled keeps each prospect moving, with reminders where people tend to stall. Drafting stays in your estate planning software, while HighLevel handles scheduling and communication.
Can GoHighLevel remind past clients to update their plans?
Yes. Store the signing date on each contact and trigger a review invitation after the interval you choose, or when a client reports a life event through a form. These reminders bring past clients back for amendments and restatements, work that is easy to lose track of by hand.
Which GoHighLevel plan fits a small estate planning firm?
Starter at $97 a month, with unlimited users and contacts, fits a single firm. Email is billed at $0.675 per 1,000, which keeps a newsletter to past clients cheap, and texts are billed per segment. A firm with a separate probate brand can use one of the three included sub-accounts for it.
