The short answer

GoHighLevel for travel agencies works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single travel agency fits on Starter at $97 a month. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $204 a month. An agency running ten travel agencies on Unlimited pays about $136 per business.

Travel agencies sell trips that take hours to plan and are often booked months ahead, so the business depends on catching inquiries fast and following up patiently. Callers want a rough price for a honeymoon, a cruise or a family trip, often in the evening after work. Advisors spend long stretches on the phone with suppliers or clients, and inquiries left waiting may book online instead. Once a trip is booked, clients call about documents, payment deadlines and changes, and a problem during travel can come at any hour.

Why travel agencies miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical travel agency has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Quote for a cruise, honeymoon or group trip
  • Final payment due date
  • Travel documents and passport questions
  • Changing or cancelling a booking
  • Help with a delay or missed connection during a trip
  • Travel insurance questions
  • Destination wedding or group booking inquiry

Five workflows to build first

  1. Trip inquiry intakeThe inquiry form asks for destination ideas, dates, number of travelers, budget per person and the occasion. The advisor gets a task with the details, and the client gets a text with a booking link for a planning call.
  2. Quote follow-upWhen a proposal is sent, the opportunity moves to 'Quote sent'. After three days a text asks whether they want changes, and before any supplier hold or price guarantee runs out, the advisor gets a task to call.
  3. Final payment remindersA custom date field holds each trip's final payment deadline. The client gets email reminders 30 and 14 days before it and a text three days before, each with the advisor's contact details.
  4. Pre-departure checklistTwo weeks before departure, travelers get an email checklist with document reminders, check-in timing and the agency's emergency contact number, then a text the day before they leave.
  5. Welcome home and next tripA few days after return, clients get a welcome-home text asking about the trip and a review request, and six months later an email with trip ideas based on their travel interests tag.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.48 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for travel agencies.

Rules to watch

Seller of travel registration. Some states regulate travel sellers. California requires sellers of travel to register with the Attorney General, and Florida requires registration from sellers with a business location in Florida or offering travel services there, with limited exemptions. Check the rules for your state and your clients' states, and never let the AI claim a registration you do not hold.

Passport and entry requirements. Entry rules depend on the traveler's citizenship and destination and can change, so the AI should never confirm that anyone has the documents they need. That check belongs with the advisor and official government sources, and the AI should say so.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

ClientBase, Travefy, TravelJoy, Sabre, Amadeus. Check the HighLevel marketplace or ask HighLevel before assuming any of these connect directly.

Which plan

One travel agency fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many travel agencies should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

How much does GoHighLevel cost for a travel agency?
About $204 a month on our assumptions: the Starter plan at $97, and usage for 200 AI-answered calls, 500 texts and 4,000 emails. Change the numbers in the calculator to match your travel agency.
Can a travel agency use HighLevel as its CRM?
Yes, for sales and client communication: inquiry forms, a pipeline for quotes, reminders for payment deadlines, pre-departure emails and review requests. Bookings, supplier commissions and itineraries stay in travel-specific tools. The value is catching and following up every inquiry, since trips are often decided weeks after the first call.
Can HighLevel remind clients about final payments?
Yes. Store each trip's final payment date in a custom date field, and a workflow can email and text reminders at the intervals you choose, such as 30, 14 and 3 days out. You can also invoice your own service fees with text-to-pay links through a connected payment provider.
Can HighLevel help with group trips?
Yes. A group trip can have its own landing page and registration form, deposits can be collected through order forms, and a tag or pipeline tracks each traveler's payment status. Group texts and emails keep everyone updated on deadlines, and communities can host a private space for the group before departure.
Which plan should a travel agency choose?
Starter at $97 a month suits a single agency, with unlimited users for every advisor, including independent contractors working under your brand. If you host advisors who each run their own brand and want separate accounts, Starter's three sub-accounts fill quickly, and Unlimited at $297 removes the cap.
