The short answer

GoHighLevel for wellness centers works as one system for calls, texts, bookings, reviews and follow-up. A single wellness center fits on Starter at $97 a month, plus the $297 HIPAA add-on. With our assumed volumes the all-in bill is about $468 a month. An agency running ten wellness centers on Unlimited pays about $104 per business before HIPAA, or $134 with it.

Wellness centers combine services that rarely share a front desk elsewhere: IV therapy, massage, weight programs, chiropractic or acupuncture, and memberships that bundle them. Callers ask about a specific treatment, whether it suits them, what it costs and whether insurance applies, and many of those questions need a clinician. Intake is heavier than at a spa because health history matters, and when licensed providers are involved, the messages a center sends can carry protected health information that needs proper safeguards.

Why wellness centers miss leads

These are the calls and messages a typical wellness center has to catch. Each one is a job, a booking or a sale if someone answers quickly:

  • Price and availability for a specific treatment
  • Booking an IV session, massage or assessment
  • Does insurance cover this
  • Membership and package options
  • Side effects or eligibility questions
  • Rescheduling a program visit

Five workflows to build first

  1. New client intakeNew clients get an intake form covering health history and goals before the first visit, and the provider gets a task to review it before the appointment starts.
  2. Program visit remindersClients in a multi-week program get reminders for each visit with any prep steps, and a missed visit creates a follow-up task for staff instead of a generic reminder.
  3. Membership renewalsMembers get a heads-up before renewal with what the membership includes and the renewal price, and anyone who cancels is asked one short, optional question about why.
  4. Service education sequencePeople who asked about a service but did not book get two or three emails explaining what it involves and how to book a consultation, written without cure or treatment claims.
  5. Careful review requestsClients get a review request after finishing a program, with a note not to share health details publicly, and staff replies to reviews never confirm that someone is a client.

HighLevel's workflow builder runs all of these, and missed call text back is usually the quickest win.

Adding an AI receptionist

Voice AI can answer the calls above around the clock, book them into the calendar and pass the hard ones to a person. On our assumptions it costs about $0.24 per answered call, phone line included. What the AI should handle, what it should hand to staff and a sample call are in our guide to an AI receptionist for wellness centers.

Rules to watch

HIPAA when you bill health plans. CMS explains that providers who submit HIPAA transactions, like claims, electronically are covered entities. HighLevel accounts are not HIPAA compliant by default; its HIPAA add-on costs $297 a month, comes with a Business Associate Agreement and cannot be deactivated once enabled. Ask your compliance adviser whether your center needs it.

Health claims need evidence. The FTC says claims about the health benefits or safety of health-related products require competent and reliable scientific evidence. Keep the AI's descriptions of IV drips, supplements and weight programs factual, and never let it say a service cures, prevents or treats a condition.

General information, not legal advice. Check the rules for your state with a qualified professional.

Which plan

One wellness center fits on Starter at $97 a month, which includes 3 sub-accounts. Move to Unlimited at $297 if you run more than three locations or brands. Agencies serving many wellness centers should compare Unlimited with Agency Pro and SaaS Mode, which lets you resell and mark up usage.

Questions

How much does GoHighLevel cost for a wellness center?
About $468 a month on our assumptions: the Starter plan at $97, the $297 HIPAA add-on, and usage for 250 AI-answered calls, 900 texts and 2,000 emails. Change the numbers in the calculator to match your wellness center.
Does a wellness center need GoHighLevel's HIPAA add-on?
It depends on what you store and whether you are a covered entity, which a compliance adviser should confirm. If intake forms, notes, texts or call recordings will hold patients' health information, plan on the $297 a month add-on, which includes a Business Associate Agreement. HighLevel says it cannot be deactivated once enabled, so decide before switching it on.
Which plan fits a wellness center?
Starter at $97 a month fits a single center or up to three locations with unlimited staff logins. Add the HIPAA package if you need it; it applies to the whole account. A wellness group with more than three sites needs Unlimited at $297. Usage for texts, calls and AI is billed on top.
Can GoHighLevel run wellness memberships?
Yes. Recurring payments, membership offers and calendars cover monthly plans that include a set number of services. Workflows can remind members about unused visits and send renewal notices. Put the price, billing date and cancellation steps on the signup page, and make canceling as easy as joining.
Can a wellness center use GoHighLevel for intake forms?
Yes. Forms and surveys can collect health history and goals before a visit. With the HIPAA add-on enabled, HighLevel lists form submissions among the data it encrypts. Keep forms short and ask only what the provider actually reviews before the appointment.
