The short answer

Usually a few business days if nothing is rejected. Since November 1, 2024 every LC Phone sub-account has been in HighLevel's A2P Fast Track program, which cut campaign approval from 7 to 10 days to at most 3 working days. After approval, carriers can take several more business days to receive the registration, and each rejection starts another review.

The timeline, step by step

Registration runs through HighLevel's Trust Center under Settings, Phone System, and it moves through separate stages. Only the campaign review has a published time limit; the others depend on how clean your submission is and how quickly carriers update. A sensible plan is to submit on the first day of a trial or client onboarding and keep test texts to your own phone numbers until the sending number shows as verified.

  • Brand: the legal name and EIN must match IRS records, and newly issued EINs can take time to reach verification systems
  • Campaign review: at most 3 working days under Fast Track
  • Number linking: the number must show the green A2P Verified label
  • Carrier propagation: several business days after approval, during which texts can fail with Error 30034

What slows approval down

HighLevel says carriers and their registration partners make the final decision and its support team cannot override them. Reviewers check whether your legal business details, campaign description, sample messages, website, opt-in process, privacy policy and terms all agree with each other. A rejection lists error codes and required fixes, and HighLevel advises reading every reason and reviewing the whole campaign before resubmitting, since the next review can raise new issues. Some locked fields can only change through a new campaign. The guided Chat Widget setup fills in carrier-safe consent language automatically to cut common rejection causes.

What registration costs

HighLevel bundles brand registration, campaign vetting and the $3 Fast Track fee into one charge: $22.50 for Sole Proprietor or Low Volume Standard brands and $64.00 for High Volume Standard. Resubmitting a rejected campaign carries no extra vetting fee, while an additional campaign under the same brand costs $15.00. Monthly campaign fees follow: $2.00 for a sole proprietor campaign, $10.00 for standard use cases and $1.50 for low volume mixed. Toll-free numbers skip A2P entirely and go through a separate toll-free verification, and Canadian Standard Brands register with the BN-9 from their Business Number.
